Gelliprinting with Botanicals
This workshop will teach the basics of gelliprinting using botanicals (plants, weeds and flowers). It will talk about the different kinds of paints that are used in printing, colors and color mixing, and the paint characteristics that allow for layering, an important concept for gelliprinting printing.
Students will learn about main and ghost prints, the use of a brayer, characteristics of acrylic paint, and the kinds of papers that can be used for gelliprinting. The workshop will also discuss different ways that botanical gelliprints can be used.

Ten Cool Techniques for Gelliprinting
This workshop will focus on ten interesting techniques for using the gelliplate. It will include some basic concepts related to gelliprinting and discuss different types of paint and paper. Students will then try out these techniques on their own, using most of the rest of the workshop to perfect these techniques and make multiple prints using the methods they enjoy the most. We'll also discuss ways that gelliprints can be used and show some examples of things made with gelliprints, including collages, artists’ books, and coasters.

Introduction to Collage
This one-day workshop will focus on the basics of making collages. We’ll start by discussing the history and variety of collage and then move on to the basics of making collages, including papers, adhesives, substrates and the value of layering. Next, we’ll explore the rules and principles of composition and talk about common compositional structures. The rest of the workshop will consist of a variety of exercises in which you will make many small collages. These exercises will give you a chance to experiment with different types of collage and help you determine the kinds of collage you most enjoy making. If you have gelliprints or painted papers from other workshops you’ve taken, this workshop will give you an opportunity to use those papers.
